Starting in the mid-2010s we began to see UTVs, side by sides and other machines come into the fold that have begun to rival the capabilities that bigger Jeeps and off-roaders bring to the table, and new for the 2024 model year, Polaris has introduced a side by side that we're predicting will take the market to new heights, par for the course for one of the UTV market's truest trailblazers.
If you're out of the loop, Polaris recently unveiled a first look at its all-new Xpedition line of side by sides, coming brand new for the upcoming model year. Today, we'll show you all that it will bring to the table and give you a closer look about how it can be customized. Let's jump right in.

2024 Polaris Xpedition Power and Range Ratings
Polaris has made a point to create engines that can bring your machine to the next level, even as the trails ahead get deeper and rougher. The new 2024 Xpedition will feature an all-new 999cc ProStar engine that promises to produce upwards of 114 horsepower, shifted through a CVT transmission offering both high and low range gears and an on-demand AWD drivetrain.
This, combined with an industry-leading 12.5 gallon fuel tank, will allow the Xpedition to boast over 200 miles of range, which will be more than enough to take you where you want to go.
Top Off-Road and Overlanding Features on the new 2024 Polaris Xpedition
Thanks to the wealth of interior options that it offers as well as a rugged and functional new look, the 2024 Xpedition is designed almost exclusively for the overlanding crowd. The main stars of the Xpedition's suspension are its Fox Podium QS3 dampers and FOX shocks, which allow the Xpedition to achieve 14 inches of ground clearance - best in class. You'll also find high-mounted air intakes on the Xpedition as well as sealed electronics cases, ensuring that your engine and electrical components will stay dry. A winch will also be included to help you get out of any sticky situations you might find yourself in.
Given its designation as an overlanding machine, the 2024 Xpedition will also feature a flat roof that allows you to put basically whatever you want on it. That could be a roof rack, rooftop tent, light bar, spare tire mount, or anything else, really. Plus, Polaris' all new Lock & Ride MAX cargo system will make its debut on the Xpedition for maximum storage capabilities, a must when your UTV becomes your home for a couple weeks.
Polaris has done its homework on the 2024 Xpedition and knows that the main need for any off-roader is staying protected from rain, wind, or other leakage inside the cabin. So, the Xpedition features an optional Pro Shield Cab System to help with just that, and some trims (the Xpedition NorthStar in particular) even include heating and AC built in.
What Wheels and Tires Will Fit The 2024 Polaris Xpedition?
While full information on the 2024 Xpedition is still flowing through, what we can tell you is that it will come with stock 30-inch tires, as well as 15-inch wheels in a 5-lug bolt pattern. Though five-lug setups are far from the norm in the ATV and UTV world, there are still plenty of options for you if you're looking to give the Xpedition a fresh look when you snag yours.
