We'll start by taking a look at the engine, and not gonna lie, we're off to a good start. The 2024 Maverick R will feature a turbo three-cylinder Rotax 999c motor, capable of producing an industry-best 240 horsepower - more than enough to get you through the roughest of conditions easily.
Harnessing all this power is a seven-speed Rotax DCT transmission, which you can operate either as an automatic or manual, thanks to wheel-mounted paddle shifters. For added control over your drive the Maverick R will feature three distinct driving modes: Normal, Sport and Sport+. Sport+ in particular offers an Advanced Response Technology (ART) system that can boost throttle response and help you make full use of the turbocharger.
2024 Can-Am Maverick R Suspension Upgrades
All this power is nothing if the chassis and suspension aren't up to snuff, though, and that's something Can-Am has kept in mind when developing the Maverick R's frame. Its body is built with a dual-phase tubed, v-shaped chassis that improves strength and rigidity, with wheelbase options of 77 and 108 inches wide so you can keep stability on all terrain surfaces.
A tall-knuckle suspension system and Fox Smart-Shox shocks are also featured here, which greatly improve suspension travel and ride quality thanks to increased compression tuning. This means that whether you're cornering, braking, or ripping down a straightaway, this suspension has you covered.
What Wheels and Tires Will Come With the 2024 Can-Am Maverick R?
Your stock options on the 2024 Maverick R will be 16-inch beadlock wheels in an industry-first 6x139.7 (6x5.5) bolt pattern - the standard for many trucks in today's market.
