Not all whips are created equal, and 5150's whips are no exception as far as sizes are concerned. They're offered in 2, 3, 4, and 6 feet, so there's an option for you whether you want your whips to be long and proud or a bit more understated. If these are all too tall for you, 5150 also offers a one-foot option, but we went with the three footer for the purposes of this review.
Our first impressions definitely seem to validate 5150's claim that these are the strongest whips in the business. They're certainly sturdy, way more than we thought they were going to be - these whips have a solid, clear outer coating that has some squish to it, but adds to the tensile strength all the same. At the bottom, there's a solid metal piece that connects the whip to your machine, and even the cord feels solid. Bonus points for craftsmanship here.
5150 LED Whip Pricing and Control Options
5150's LED whip base kit starts at around $400, and includes a pair of (2) whips, mounting bases, and a wireless controller. Due to variations in machines, the power harness and on/off switches may be sold separately, but you can find all this in our store. Of course, to get the whips to work you'll need to download the free app - this allows you to use 5150's factory lighting displays and even create your own.
